Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on 26 August 2002 is an American musician and singer. He rose to mainstream fame after the release of his single from 2019 "Ransom" which had a peak at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was featured on his debut mixtape We Love You Tecca (2019) which peaked at the top of the pile at 4 on the US Billboard 200. It also contained the singles Love Me and Did It Again. The album he released as his debut, Virgo world (2020), debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 at number 10. It included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly" and "When You Down". The second mixtape he released, We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" and others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born August 26, 2002 in the Queens area of New York City to Jamaican immigrants. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and then moved to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Sharpe had always wanted to join the NBA as a child However, when he was 12 Sharpe made the decision to pursue a profession in music. Sharpe completed his studies at Lawrence High School. Tecca aged nine at the age, was rapping alongside his classmates with his Xbox to record. The two would make diss tracks about one another. One was uploaded to SoundCloud in the past, but it has since been removed. In his first years, he didn't have any plans to pursue an income in music, and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA star. He began to take music more seriously when the time he stopped playing basketball when he was in middle school. The first track to become popular, "Tectri", was created in partnership with Lil Gummybear and released in the early part of 2017. Other tracks from his early days include "Callin". The career of Tecca began a year later, with the smash single "Ransom" that was released to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd the 22nd of May, 2019. The track ranked 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has been a hit with more than 990 million Spotify plays and over 300,000,000 YouTube views.
